Player Insurance
Mazenod OCFC recommends all players have private health cover when playing and consider having personal income protection insurance if they are in the workforce.
The club provides a ‘Gold’ level cover for personal accident/injury through the VAFA under the AFL National Insurance program operated by Marsh Insurance. Note the insurance does not include the optional Income Protection cover.
Gold Level Benefits include:
- Non-Medicare Medical*: 90% reimbursement for eligible expenses
- Reimbursement Limit: Up to $3,500 per claim
- Excess: $50 per claim
- Capital Benefits: Up to $200,000
- Quadriplegia/Paraplegia Benefit: Maximum of $1,000,000
- Additional Support: Includes 4 free psychology sessions through the Converge Player Assistance Program
